🌟 What to Pack & Weather Tips
- You don’t need that insanely long winter jacket that makes you look like you’re headed to the North Pole. Snow doesn’t last long. One warm, mid-length coat is enough.
- Bring summer clothes! I packed way too many sweaters and barely had options by May.
- Don’t expect summer temps above 20°C. I went swimming when it was 15°C (yes, really).
- You’ll still need jackets in summer, so bring a light one too.
- Weather apps lie. It can change five times a day. Always carry a small umbrella or waterproof jacket.
🚲 Getting Around
- Get a bike. Don’t be like me! Renting costs about €30 per month, while a public transport pass for two zones is around €80.
- Walk, walk, walk — it’s the best way to explore.
- Public transport is great but never ride without a ticket. Fines are €130.
🛍️ Shopping & Budgeting
- Flea markets and secondhand shops are amazing and usually happen every Sunday. Super fun!
- Denmark is very expensive, so budget wisely.
- Student discounts are everywhere, but you have to ask and look for them yourself.
- Food is expensive — learn to cook! Eating out drains your budget.
- Recycling is a big deal so learn to sort trash correctly. Return cans for cash back.
